Eugene Remm

Partner, Catch Hospitality Group
Eugene Remm is a New York-based restaurateur, entrepreneur, and partner of Catch Hospitality Group, the company behind some of the country's most sought-after dining destinations. With more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, Remm has built a reputation for developing distinctive restaurant concepts that combine culinary creativity, exceptional service, and memorable atmospheres. His entrepreneurial vision and hands-on approach have helped establish Catch Hospitality Group as a leading multi-market restaurant company.
Remm began his career in the nightlife industry, gaining experience with prominent nightclubs in New York and Las Vegas before expanding into restaurants. In 2006, he co-founded EMM Group in New York, laying the foundation for a hospitality portfolio that would eventually span the United States and Mexico.
In 2011, Remm opened CATCH NYC in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, introducing a distinctive approach to dining that paired a seafood-, sushi-, and steak-driven menu with an energetic atmosphere, warm hospitality, and a rooftop overlooking the city. The combination of inventive, shareable dishes, attentive service, and a lively social scene helped establish CATCH as a destination in New York's competitive restaurant landscape.
Building on CATCH NYC's success, Remm expanded the brand into new markets, including Los Angeles in 2016, and introduced CATCH Steak. In 2017, Catch Hospitality Group partnered with Tilman Fertitta's privately owned Landry's, Inc., gaining the financial backing and infrastructure to support its continued growth.
Remm continued to pursue new restaurant concepts beyond the CATCH brand, bringing his entrepreneurial vision to a series of standalone dining destinations. In 2024, he transformed a former SoHo restaurant into The Corner Store, a modern American grill built around familiar favorites, inventive cocktails, and attentive service. Conceived as a neighborhood restaurant with an identity distinct from CATCH, the concept quickly became one of New York City's most sought-after reservations, known for playful dishes like caviar-topped lobster rolls and its signature sour cream and onion martini.
Building on that success, Remm introduced The Eighty Six in 2025, an intimate West Village steakhouse housed in the former Chumley's speakeasy, a historic gathering place associated with writers Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald. The restaurant pairs premium cuts sourced from independent ranches with an opulent dining room that pays homage to its New York heritage.
In 2026, Remm expanded the portfolio with Or'esh, a live-fire Mediterranean restaurant inspired by the Levant, followed by Cafe Charmant, a French Riviera-inspired brasserie in the West Village. The Corner Store is also preparing for its Las Vegas debut at The Cosmopolitan in Fall 2026, bringing the concept beyond New York for the first time.
Today, Catch Hospitality Group operates 13 restaurants across eight markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Aspen, Miami Beach, Dallas, and Scottsdale. The company employs more than 1,000 people, with Remm remaining closely involved in restaurant operations, creative direction, and the guest experience.
